Traditional Chin textiles from Myanmar use pure cotton (often handspun), and occasionally silk.  Dyes are indigo and other vegetable dyes and the textiles are woven on back strap looms.  The patterns and motifs reflect Chin culture and environment.  Most of the weaving is done by elderly women, although some younger women are joining in.  Chin Chili is supporting young weavers to improve their weaving techniques and expand their business knowledge.
